Racconigi Castle - Turin
We are thrilled to share our exhibition project at the Racconigi Castle and Park Monumental Complex, where we curated the Armory’s new permanent exhibition space. For the first time, over one hundred objects from the non-European collection preserved in the residence were presented to the public, the result of diplomatic gifts, tributes from illustrious guests, and travel memories of the last sovereigns of the House of Savoy, Vittorio Emanuele III and Umberto II.
Our intervention involved the installation of the Armory rooms in the eastern wing, with the design and construction of custom display cases, metal and wooden displays, custom frames for multimedia monitors, and graphic information devices. Each element has been designed to integrate with historical architecture, enhancing the environments without altering their identity.
We selected high-quality materials to ensure strength, durability, and full compliance with the conservation standards required by the most delicate finds, while also following the Guidelines for Overcoming Architectural Barriers.
With the completion of the new rooms, the museum itinerary is enriched, offering visitors an engaging experience between the Armoury, 19th-century kitchens and the fascinating spaces of the eastern wing.
