In the historic halls of the Trieste Maritime Museum, BAWER’s commitment has focused on protecting the vast collection of artifacts, unique testimonies to Trieste’s history as a port city and its deep connection to the sea.

The resulting display is a harmonious ensemble of wooden display cases, each with its own unique features: some with glass domes, others with transparent panels on the top or sides. These structures are not simple containers, but veritable treasure chests that showcase the artifacts and visually narrate their history, tracing a fascinating journey through the city’s maritime history.

BAWER’s project also included the design of a cutting-edge lighting system, the integration of multimedia solutions, and targeted interventions on the structure, all essential elements for offering an engaging and immersive museum experience.
