We are thrilled to share our latest exhibition project at the Racconigi Castle and Park Complex. We had the honor of curating the Armoury’s new permanent exhibition space, where over one hundred objects from the residence’s non-European collection were presented to the public for the first time.
These unique pieces, the result of diplomatic gifts, presents from illustrious guests, and travel mementos of the last two sovereigns of the House of Savoy, Vittorio Emanuele III and Umberto II, tell the story of a Castle increasingly interconnected with the rest of the world.
Our work involved the interior design of the Armoury rooms in the eastern wing of the Castle, with the creation of display cases, metal and wooden displays, custom frames for multimedia monitors, and the supply of information graphics.
We used high-quality materials to ensure strength and durability over time, respecting all the standards necessary for the preservation of the most delicate artifacts. Furthermore, we have followed the Guidelines for overcoming architectural barriers, to ensure all visitors have a complete and engaging experience.
With the completion of these rooms, the entire itinerary takes on a new life, allowing visitors to explore not only the Armoury, but also the 19th-century kitchens and other fascinating spaces of the East Wing. An evocative journey through history and culture that we can’t wait to share with you all!
