Bernareggi Museum - Bergame

The exhibition project of the Adriano Bernareggi Diocesan Museum in Bergamo was born from a complex architectural and museum redevelopment project of the ancient Episcopal Palace, now restored and enhanced. The spaces, spread over two floors for a total of 900 square meters, are spread across ten exhibition rooms housing over 60 works, including paintings and sculptures, dating from the fourteenth to the twentieth century.

The exhibition was conceived according to contemporary criteria, with the aim of offering a modern, accessible and immersive visiting experience, capable of combining scientific rigor and emotional involvement. The tour is structured through a historical-thematic approach that guides visitors through the centuries, recounting the evolution of faith, art, and devotion in the Bergamo area.

As part of this project, Bawer oversaw the supply and installation of museum furnishings and exhibition facilities, custom-made to ensure functionality, aesthetics, and durability. The solutions adopted dialogue harmoniously with the historic architecture of the palace, enhancing the works and helping to build a balance between memory and contemporaneity.

The result is an exhibition space capable of enhancing the cultural heritage housed in the museum, transforming the visit into an experience of exploration, reflection, and dialogue with local history and spirituality.
