The “mini-code” for the fire-prevention design of low-risk workplaces is coming soon, with a few requirements and measures based on the fire risk assessment.
The draft inter-ministerial decree (to be signed by the Ministers of the Interior and Labor) has been presented, intended to replace the old Ministerial Decree of March 10, 1998. The new decree defines the criteria for identifying the measures to be implemented in low-risk workplaces to prevent and limit the consequences of a fire, as well as the precautionary measures to be observed by employers.
The adaptation of existing workplaces is expected within 5 years of the decree’s entry into force.
