The Best Hospitals in the World: The Ranking

Newsweek’s new annual ranking of the world’s best hospitals has been released.
The ranking lists the best hospitals in 28 different countries around the world, including the USA, Italy, the UK, Germany, Spain and France.
The podium is once again occupied by three US hospitals: the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland and the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
The countries were selected based on multiple comparability factors. Factors such as standard of living/life expectancy, population size, number of hospitals, and data availability.
For the third consecutive year, the top Italian hospital is the Policlinico ‘Gemelli’ in Rome, which ranks 38th in the ranking.
